Concrete is a very popular way to create a deck surrounding a pool. It is durable and often finished in a variety of textures and colors to create an attractive non-slip surface. These same non-slip surfaces, however, are traps that hold dirt and water over time leaving you with a very hard to clean and depressingly dirty mess that may not even be all that slip resistant any longer.
